SEASONAL SAVINGS
Benefits of Owning North Lake Tahoe Real Estate
If you are one of the lucky few to own North Lake Tahoe Real Estate, then you have an opportunity to benefit from what the locals call the “shoulder season.” The shoulder season occurs twice a year in the spring near mid-April to mid-May, and in the fall from September or October through November. During this time, North Lake Tahoe merchants and restaurants offer sales and discounts to entice locals. Even the North Lake Tahoe ski resorts offer specials as their seasons end in the spring and begin in the fall. Here a few tips on how you can start saving during the shoulder season:
1. Check the newspaper. Usually, restaurants will offer a 2 for 1 deal on dinner plates or at least a coupon for money off your meal.
2. Keep an eye on the ski resort websites. At the beginning and end of the season, the local ski resorts offer special “local” days with discounted lift tickets or free lunch. They also have blow out sales to liquidate their ski and snowboard rental inventory.
3. Visit your seasonal shops. As the snow melts, most ski shops change over their inventory to accommodate the summer sports, and visa versa in the fall. This is a great opportunity to pick up your snow gear for next season, or the mountain bike you’ve been eyeing all summer, at huge discount prices.
These are just a few of the deals available during shoulder season in North Lake Tahoe. You may find savings in a variety of places, such as the hardware store, the bicycle shop, the marina, or your favorite sandwich shop. It never hurts to ask when the next big sale will be, or if they offer local discounts. Chances are, if you shop locally, community vendors will know you and offer the inside scoop on specials.
